Mandy Rose def. Becky Lynch
This week we finally got to see Mandy Rose make her Smackdown Live In-ring debut, and what a debut it was from The Golden Goddess!
The match began with Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville having a conversation in the gorilla position. Mandy tells Deville ” Paige was right, it’s time for us to stand on our own two feet” just as she’s about to exit to the stage, Smackdown Live General Manager Paige pulls them aside, she asks Sonya “You’re not about to go out there with her, are you?” Sonya nods, and Paige exclaims “Absolution is dead” just like she said last week.
Rose & Deville retaliate, telling Paige “We heard you last week” “You can desert us for this new office job, but we promised we will never abandon eachother. Paige then informs the two that Sonya is barred from ringside.. the two retaliate and Mandy tells Sonya to just come on out anyway.
The screen cuts back to Becky in the ring, and the fun begins. We hear a seductive “Mandy” whispered through the arena. The stage is filled with vibrant orange graphics that read “Mandy Rose”. Mandy’s new theme song begins, and she emerges from the minitron.. alone. The sides of the screen then begin to blur, and all the focus is all on Mandy Rose. Her entrance is quite unique, she takes a step, stops, poses, and takes another step, she repeated this until she gets to walk-way of the stage. She then walks towards the apron, and does her signature apron pose we’ve seen before.
The match begins. Mandy quickly applies a waist lock to Becky and Becky throws Mandy off with a hip toss, followed by a takedown. Rose rolls out of the ring to regroup, as soon as she gets back in Lynch attempts to apply her signature submission, Dis-Arm-Her, but an attempt is all she achieved. She was met by a strong forearm smash from Mandy, before she places Lynch in the corner. “Who do you think you are, huh?!” Mandy says to Becky before she delivers kicks to the mid section of Becky while she’s trapped in the corner.
Mandy then whips the lass kicker into the opposite corner, and delivers an impressive running dropkick. Mandy then crawls back in the seductive way she does, before Becky meets Mandy’s signature bicycle knee strike. Rose attempts a pinfall and Lynch kicks out at the count of two. Frustrated, Mandy applies an aggressive chin lock to Becky while both are grounded. Lynch begins fighting out of the hold, but she is quickly sent back down the mat via a hair-pull mat slam. With Becky dazed, Mandy starts taunting her “What’ve you got Becky, huh?” and then an unsuspecting Lynch meets an aggressive fist from Rose. The two begin exchanging right hands, and Becky begins retaliating, ending the series with an uppercut. In retaliation, Mandy attempts to deliver a forearm smash to Becky, but Lynch is able to get the upper hand and for a second time attempts to apply the Dis-Arm-Her, but Mandy is able to crawl to the bottom rope just in time. All isn’t safe for Mandy however, as Lynch catches Mandy off guard with a Bexploder, followed by a forearm strike to a cornered Rose. She then attempts her signature cornered kick, but Mandy is able to catch Becky’s leg in the air and denies any offence from The Lass Kicker, Rose shoves Becky’s leg down and catches her on the rope and rolls up Becky for the pinfall victory. Becky looks extremely upset in the ring, but Mandy is busy celebrating on the stage, before she walks backstage.
The rest of the Smackdown Women’s division should be paying attention to Mandy, the future is most definitely Golden..
Mandy and Sonya made their first televised Smackdown Live appearance this week. It starts with Smackdown General Manager, Paige looking back at a video of Mandy & Sonya mocking Becky Lynch from last week.
Mandy and Sonya walk into Paige’s office and the three greet each other for the first time since Paige’s emotional retirement speech on Raw, just before the Superstar Shakeup. After chit chatting about Paige’s new position, the conversation quickly turns to business. Sonya says ‘we know why you called us in’. Mandy then asks Paige ‘who’s it gonna be..?’ Paige plays back and fourth, and she points at Mandy and says ‘Mandy, it’s gonna be you’. Mandy begins estatically jumping for joy and exclaims ‘I’m gonna have a Smackdown Women’s Title match!’ but.. she’s quickly interrupted by Paige. She tells Mandy ‘You’re not gonna have a Women’s Title match, if you want that, you’re gonna have to earn it’ she then informs Mandy that next week, she will face Becky Lynch in a one on one match. Mandy looks somewhat upset and quickly retaliates ‘but.. we’re friends, you’re the General Manager, don’t you have some kind of special treatment?’ Sonya Deville quickly adds “we’re Absolution” but quickly Paige responds with ‘Well.. Absolution is…. dead’ Mandy & Sonya exchange looks of disbelief, while Paige awkwardly smiles at them both, and the segment ends.
Needless to say, we’re very excited to see Mandy’s first match on Smackdown Live! But the question lies.. with Paige’s statement about Absolution being.. ‘dead’ what could this mean for Sonya’s status as Mandy’s friend? Tune in next week to find out..

Mandy Rose def. Sasha Banks- Raw 04/10/18
The match begins with Absolution already in the ring from commercials, Banks’ music hits and she makes her entrance. Just before Mandy & Sasha begin, Bayley’s music hits, both girls look confused and Bayley makes her entrance and stands in the corner of Sasha. The match starts, Rose quickly runs up towards Sasha & Sasha evades, sending Mandy out of the ring. Banks quickly meets Mandy with a baseball slide dropkick, sending her down to the ground before Sasha gets Mandy back in the ring. Both girls get up and Mandy attempts to hit The Boss with a clothesline, but Sasha ducks and runs the ropes, coming back to Rose and catching her with a lou thesz press. Sasha then places Mandy in the corner and Mandy meets a flurry of kicks to the face from The Boss. Quickly after Sasha hits a suplex transitions into a pin, Rose kicks out at the count of one. Sasha then locks Mandy into an armbar while both women are grounded, Rose begins retaliating but is thrown into the turnbuckle by Banks. As Sasha runs towards Mandy she meets an elbow to the face followed by a vicious hair whip to the ground. Mandy taunts to the crowd and exclaims “that’s right!” she then patronises The Boss, and grounds her with ease. Rose then brings Banks up and walks her towards the left turnbuckle, she attempts to use it to attack Sasha, but The Boss counters and Mandy is made to taste the turnbuckle, Sasha begins smacking Rose’s face into the turnbuckle multiple times before Banks taunts her frenemy watching on from ringside. Mandy then grabs Sasha by the waist and throws her face first into the middle turnbuckle. Mandy then shows us a new innovative move, she brings Banks to her feet, lifts her into a wheelbarrow position and then drops her right on the top rope. Rose taunts the crowd once again and it cut’s to commercial.
When we return from commercials and Mandy is looking dominant & has Sasha in her signature modified abdominal stretch. Paige & Sonya Deville begin taunting the crowd to get them behind Mandy, but The Boss quickly brings the submission attempt to an end and hits Mandy with a hip toss. Once Mandy is on her feet she attempts a forearm to Sasha, but Sasha retaliates with a flurry of punches of her own, followed by repeated clotheslines, and then a dropkick to Mandy. Mandy brings herself towards the corner, stands up & Sasha attempts her signature corner knee strike, but Rose counters and brings Sasha over the top rope, Sasha catches herself on the apron and connects a knee to the face of Rose. Sasha then climbs the top rope and meets Rose with a diving attack which floors her, Banks goes for a pin and achieves a two count before Mandy kicks out. Mandy rolls to the outside. Banks exits the ring and brings Mandy to her feet, and she’s quickly met by an elbow smash delivered by Rose. Mandy then turns around and pushes Bayley for no apparent reason, with the ref distracted by Deville and Paige, Bayley attempts to attack Rose, but she ducks and Bayley catches Sasha instead. Rose then gets back into the ring while Bayley apologises to Sasha on the outside. With the ref counting Sasha out, she gets back in the ring too, distracted by Bayley she is quickly connected with a signature Bicycle Knee from Rose. This takes down The Boss, and gives Mandy the opportunity to attempt a pin. Rose successfully pins The Boss for the three count. She celebrates with her Absolution partners, Paige & Sonya… but is it for the final time? After the match, Paige unfortunately announces her retirement, but Rose and Deville walk backstage without a word.

The WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal is an opportunity for both Bayley and Sasha Banks to make yet another bit of history. That said, it’s looking more and more like they see it as an opportunity to finally beat each other up — and that may well make them easy pickings for the other Superstars looking to seize their moment.
The fraying friendship between the former champions seemed, at first, to repair itself when Banks came down to the ring following Bayley’s victory over Sonya Deville of Absolution, who turned in her most impressive performance as a Raw Superstar. After The Huggable One rolled up Sonya for the win, she was easy pickings for Paige’s crew until The Boss’ arrival evened the odds. Bayley, however, refused to grant Sasha’s demand to raise her hand in a show of gratitude, leading to the second brawl between the two in two weeks — though this tussle was interrupted by Absolution, who seized the opportunity to drop them both and leave the ring with the wind at their backs heading into WrestleMania.
In other words, Bayley and Sasha can use the Battle Royal as a chance to finally work out their aggression. But as their collision course winds through a crowded field, they may yet find that tunnel vision does them more harm than good.

Ronda Rousey’s WrestleMania debut is a dream come true for The Baddest Woman on the Planet, but Triple H & Stephanie McMahon are already predicting that conflicting motives and rampant egos will lead to disaster for Rousey and her WrestleMania partner, Kurt Angle.
The Baddest Woman on the Planet seemed entirely unmoved by Stephanie, who she referred to as “trust-fund tough” after Angle invited her to the ring later in the night. She was a bit more polite in refuting Paige’s offer to recruit her into Absolution, who Paige believed could back her up better than Angle.
When Paige attempted to sic her cohorts on “Rowdy” Ronda in response, however, all civility went out the window. Sonya Deville was swiftly dispatched, and Mandy Rose’s attempt at a sneak-attack nearly landed her in an armbar until Angle talked his partner down. There may be no such restraint at WrestleMania.
